quollism: This is not a quoll. It’s an emu and it’s coming right for me. This emu was quite friendly though and ate delicately out of my hand. Not what you’d expect from  Australia’s largest bird? Then you’ve never met one. The Noongar word for emu is wetj and the emu figures fairly prominently in a local indigenous origin story, Moondang-Ak Kaaradjiny. The emu also features on the Australian coat of arms, and, together with the kangaroo with which it shares the coat of arms, tastes delicious on pizza. roo and emu pizza NOMNOMNOM
